Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Carole Baskin reached out to WHNT to address what has been happening with 256Exotics. This is the store that had two servals escape last September (Here's the Daily addressing that situation), and last month allegedly had a serval attack a young girl in the store. Alabama being one of four states to allow ownership of exotic pets with no regulations was the target of Baskin's issues, with her calling for tighter regulations in Alabama and across the country. (WHNT)
- Huntsville is starting the process of removing remains from abandoned graves near Madison County High School to potentially build a manufacturing facility. If the city purchases the land, experts will be brought up from the University of Alabama to help locate and remove the remains, which would then be relocated to Gurley. (WAAY)
- The AIDB Spring Ability Craft Fair will be held at the Salty Nut Brewery May 7 from 3-6 p.m. There will be everything from jewelry to artwork. Vendors can register now. (WHNT)
- Two Men and a Truck is teaming up with Downtown Rescue Mission to help moms out for Mother's Day. Their wish list includes toiletries, diapers and vitamins and items can be dropped off at several locations. (WHNT)
