  1. Many schools in the area have announced early dismissal times for today in anticipation of the severe weather threats. These times could be earlier and other schools might announce at any time that they will also dismiss early, so make sure to stay up-to-date on your child’s school’s decisions. (Rocket City Now)
  2. Auburn University has purchased a facility in Research Park. This facility was previously owned by LogiCore and plans are to include labs and meeting spaces to give the school a more permanent spot in Huntsville near some of their research partners. (WHNT)
  3. A first-grade class at Cedar Hill Elementary in Limestone is now known as “Hodges’ Heroes.” Their teacher, Tracy Hodges, started having a seizure in the middle of a lesson and the students were able to get help without panicking, and Ms. Hodges was able to get to the emergency room and be treated because of her students.   4. The Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick's Day Parade has announced its return to Huntsville for the first year since the beginning of the pandemic. This will be the 45th year for the parade and the official after party will be at Straight to Ale. (themadisonrecord.com)
  5. The UAH men’s basketball team had a narrow loss at UWA last night. The Chargers fell 69-68, and during the game, Max Shulman became the 30th Charger in program history to score 1000 points! (themadisonrecord.com)
