Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. The National Child Advocacy Center in Huntsville is now accepting cryptocurrency donations. This is thanks to their partnership with The Giving Block, who will also be matching each crypto donation. There are over 80 forms of cryptocurrency they are able to accept due to this partnership.   2. The Alabama Media Group has announced they will stop publishing newspapers, including the Huntsville Times. They will be online-only starting after Feb. 26, 2023. The Birmingham News to our south will also be affected by this decision. (WZDX)
  3. Ice skating will return as a part of the 36th Annual Christmas Open House in downtown Athens! It will be available starting Friday, Nov. 18 and will be open Saturday and Sunday as well. (News Courier)
  4. Athens City Schools has announced a revised version of their drug and alcohol policies. Their new policy, the "Drug and Alcoholic Beverages Policy, will replace their "Drug Free Workplace" policy. You can read the full version in the article by the News Courier." (News Courier)
