City Of Huntsville Hours Of Operation Change For Labor Day
City of Huntsville municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, in recognition of Labor Day.
From the City of Huntsville: City of Huntsville municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, in recognition of the Labor Day Holiday. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Monday’s holiday will impact garbage collection for the week of Sept. 2–6, delaying pick-up by one day. Garbage normally collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday and so on. For more information visit HuntsvilleAL.gov/trash.
Recycling collection, managed by the Solid Waste Disposal Authority, will also be delayed by one day.

Shuttle and Handi-Ride services will be closed Monday. More information is available at HuntsvilleAL.gov/HuntsvilleTransit.

Splash pads operated by the City of Huntsville’s Parks and Recreation Department will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday. All other Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed.
Huntsville Municipal Court will be closed Monday.
Police, fire and rescue and 911 emergency services will be in operation throughout the Labor Day holiday.
