- City of Huntsville offices will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. They will reopen at normal times Tuesday morning. Make sure if you have time-sensitive business, you go today or tomorrow! (Patch)
- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has picked Huntsville as the location of their Fall Collegiate Beach Championships. The deal is for this year through 2024 at the state-of-the-art beach volleyball facilities at John Hunt Park. (WZDX)
- A Huntsville Police Officer had his foot run over while directing traffic yesterday. The officer is expected to be fine, and was transported to the hospital at the time of the accident. The driver was driving at low speeds and remained on the scene. (WAFF)
- Drake State is getting ready to host free STEM boot camps for teenagers ages 14+ starting June 25. There will be a drone course, which will allow students starting at age 14, and a Systems Engineering course for ages 15 and up. (WHNT)

- As of writing, there is a power outage in Northwest Huntsville due to a car striking a power pole. Customers from Jordan Lane east to Pulaski Pike and from Grizzard Road south to Oakwood Avenue will be affected. Huntsville Utilities is currently working to restore power to those customers.
