Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:
- June 24 will be Huntsville’s first Downtown Night Market! The new event is sponsored by the UAH College of Business and MidCity. (Downtown Huntsville, Inc.)
- Madison is the only county in the state that is rated with a high COVID-19 level in the state. The criteria are:
- For fewer than 100,000 in the past week, admissions have to be 20% or more, or over 15% of staff inpatient beds must be occupied.
- For over 200 cases per 100,000 over the last week, admissions must increase by at least 10% or the occupied number of staff inpatient beds has to be over 10%. (WHNT)
- A woman allegedly led HPD on a high-speed chase Monday night. She was clocked going 121 mph, the chase ended with spike strips and ended at a gas station near the intersection of Jordan and Sparkman. When police go to the vehicle, they realized there were two young children in the vehicle. The driver has been charged with one count of eluding police and two counts of reckless endangerment for the children. (WHNT)
