- Facebook announced that their investment into Huntsville wil be over $1 billion at the data center campus. The expansion will give space for over 200 employees to work on the campus. In their announcement Tuesday, the company said it has already contributed over 5 million hours of work to Huntsville’s economy. (GOVTech)
- The Huntsville City Schools Board are looking into the possibility of Lee High School, which was named after General Robert E. Lee, a Confederate general. The board will have to go through a waiver process, and if they are denied but choose to change the school’s name anyway, they will be charged a $25,000 fine. (WAFF)
- North Alabama hospitals are still struggling to keep enough nurses. Huntsville Hospital in particular is trying to fill 270 nurse positions to try and keep their staff at a normal level. (WAAY)
- Rep. Mo Brooks has released the footage from when Rep. Eric Swalwell’s private investigator allegedly trespassed and entered their home without consent. Brooks filed a criminal trespassing report with the police department after the incident. (WVTM)
- In Florence, K9 teams from around the southeast are participating in certification trials. This will determine whether or not the K9 team can continue to work, as they must be recertified every year. (WAAY)
