  1. The Huntsville City Council has set July 22 as the next time the body cam resolution will be considered. The proposal would have passed how it was with the three council members that were supporting it. (AL.com)
  2. Guy Gilchrist, the cartoonist responsible for Pink Panther and Tom and Jerry, showed up for the event. He went to Creamer and Cache Comics for a meet and greet to promote his new book, Monster Dance. (WHNT)
  3. In Decatur, the Hickory Hills community was a small group of the people recovering from storms that swept through the area Saturday. There was damage and they lost power, but nobody was injured. Tree removal is expected to take until next week. (WAAY)
  4. Picnic in the Park was held over the weekend at Brahan Spring Park. Several different groups came together to gather supplies to help out the homeless population in the area. Those facing homelessness were given food and supplies. (WHNT)
  5. The Limestone Master Gardener Association has picked their first Yard of the Month for this year! Doris Stewart on Brookwood Drive won with her multicolored azaleas all around the house and trellises and sitting areas in the back to enjoy the beauty. (News Courier)
