On July 15, Hartselle Police Sgt. Lynn Dean was injured on the job. While it is unclear if Sgt. Dean was attacked by a dog or fell, he fractured his skull during the event. A GoFundMe has been set up to help his family with medical expenses and help while he is recovering off-duty here.

Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Former Limestone County Superintendent Tom Sisk was sentenced Tuesday for his role in the fraud case in Limestone County. He received 18 months in a federal prison, three years of supervised probation, a fine of $15,000 and has to pay restitution of $13,000. The other three convicted in the fraud case will be sentenced today. (WHNT)
- The City of Huntsville is purchasing nine new garbage trucks! This will help alleviate the stress they’ve been under with all of the broken-down trucks. There is no date for the new trucks to arrive. (WAFF)
- There will be a shots clinic offered from July 18-August 2 to help catch up on back-to-school shots. They will have all required vaccines to get students caught up, as well as COVID vaccines for anyone ages 5 and up that wants to get it. The clinic will be at the Madison County Health Department office on Max Luther Drive. (WHNT)
- NASA has announced target dates set for the SLS that was assembled in Huntsville to launch. It is set for either August 29, September 2, or September 5. The unmanned mission is set to take off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. (Yellowhammer News)
