Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Calhoun Community College has announced free admission to basketball games during the regular season! This is an effort throughout the 2022-2023 season to rebuild the Warhawk fan base for their first season back with basketball. It only applies to home games during the regular 2022-2023 season. (WZDX)
- Saturday, Taylor’s Barber Shop in Huntsville will have free haircuts available to active military, veterans, and first responders during their regular hours from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. This is part of their partnership with the Empowered Veteran for Veterans Day. (WAAY)
- Former Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely, who was convicted of theft and ethics charges, has filed to request a rehearing for his appeal. He is currently out on bond during his appeals, and still has the option to appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court. (WHNT News 19)
