Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. Arts Huntsville has received $150,000 in grant money from the National Endowment of the Arts. The funds will be disbursed across the community to help with supporting artists and organizations in the area and helping them recover fr0m the pandemic. (whnt.com)
  2. A team of officers and tw0 minors visited 32 stores in Huntsville to see if the minors would be allowed to purchase alcohol if they were honest about their age and provided actual ID when asked. 24 out of those 32 stores were given citations for going through with the purchase for the minors. (WAAY)
  3. Huntsville Museum of Art and PNC Bank have worked together to make Sunday, November 28 free to patrons. This will allow you to see their new exhibits and catch the end of others, such as the 9/11 exhibit. There will be two free tours offered Sunday. (WAAY)
  4. A team of UAH students placed fifth at the US Department of Energy Cyberforce Competition. There were 120 teams t0tal, and the school’s team, HuntsvilleTechSupport, competes in weekly competitions to help prepare for the national-level competitions. (Patch)
  5. Whataburger has officially opened in Huntsville! You can find the city’s first location on South Memorial to get a customized burger. Curbside pickup and delivery will be available soon to make the experience even m0re convenient. (WAFF)
