  1. Governor Kay Ivey visited the Rocket City yesterday! She attended the groundbreaking for the expansion of the Special Aerospace Services and went on to give a keynote talk about 41st Annual Convention of ARSEA/APEAL, a group for state and local government retirees and employees eligible to retire.   2. The Jackson County Health Care Authority has fully completed the process to merge with the Huntsville Hospital Health System. The merger started in June and will officially begin October 1. (WHNT)
  3. The Marshall Space Flight Center Retirees Association held a luncheon for its members. They discussed their work planning the Space Exploration Memorial that will be built at the Space and Rocket Center to honor those that started and have worked to continue the space program.   4. A homeless camp near downtown caught fire yesterday. The fire started from a camping stove and smoke traveled several miles. (WHNT)
