- The Rocket City Trash Pandas have their first home game in the team’s history tomorrow! They currently have two wins and four losses to the Chattanooga Lookout. Before you go to a game, make sure you are up-to-date on their bag policies, accepted payments, and parking! (MILB)
- Madison is one of nine counties in Alabama that has access to participation in Harvest for Health’s new gardening component. This program is part of the Chronic Disease and Health Disparities Program through UAB. According to Joseph Bryant, participants must meet their qualifications and then will be given everything they need and will have support of a master gardener. (AlabamaNewsCenter)
- Abby Brooks, a UAH volleyball player and recent grad, was honored by the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. She was named their post-graduate scholar-athlete of the year as she heads to UAB for her master’s degree. (WHNT)
- Sparkman High School approved Jarvis Wilson as the new girls basketball coach. Reporter Ben Thomas said that Wilson comes from Carver-Brimingham, where he coached for seven years, won 187 games, and led the team to the school’s first title. He is currently the Class 5A Coach of the Year. (AL.com)
- The Cullman County Wranglers hosted their 2nd Annual Ridin’ for Residents on Saturday. They partnered with USA Healthcare to parade their jeeps around nursing homes in the area while also donating stationary supplies collected within themselves so that the residents can communicate with their families more easily.
