Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Huntsville Animal Services has announced that they will be lowering adoption fees for the holidays! Most adult animals will be $35, and most puppies and kittens will be up for adoption at only $50. All pets come fixed and vaccinated. This will help the shelter combat their growing number of at-risk pets. (WHNT News 19)
  2. According to the Huntsville Police Department, a murder suspect has fatally shot himself when police attempted to arrest him. The man was a suspect in a 2021 murder. (AL.com)
  3. Huntsville attorney Joe Ritch has been confirmed to serve on the Board of Directors for the TVA by the U.S. Senate. This will be Ritch’s second term on the board. (AL.com)
