- HudsonAlpha is hosting an open house for their bioskills program. It will be open to high schoolers in Alabama, but will be a great opportunity for homeschooled students! The event will be at the Paul Propst Center of HudsonAlpha’s campus. (Fox 54)
- 31-year-old Huntsville Fire and Rescue cadet Bryant McGowan passed away Thursday after a training exercise. An autopsy is being done to determine the cause of death and an investigation is being done. (AL.com)
- Alabama A&M graduate student Chi McDade was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend Thursday night. Her alleged killer is in the Limestone County Jail with no bond. (WAFF)
- There is a new resolution in the Huntsville City Council that might give each district $75,000 in a discretionary fund. The guidelines on how the funds may be used leave plenty of room for interpretation, but the resolution will be discussed in the August 18th work session. (WAAY)
