Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. The reflective striping on I-565 has gotten really hard to see sometimes, especially in the rain or the afternoon sun. However, it looks like they might not get an upgrade until the summer. 2. The Village of Providence donated toys for Toys for Tots! Eleven boxes were filled with toys this year for the organization. This is their 11th year donating. (WAAY)
  3. Between 2006 and today, HudsonAlpha has generated $3.2B of economic impact for the state. According to an analysis done recently to look at HudsonAlpha, they’re not only doing groundbreaking research, but they’re also pouring so much back into Alabama. (Yellowhammer News)
  4. The City of Madison is looking to build a new elementary school! Currently, they’re looking at unincorporated territory in Limestone County to be the home of the new school! (WAFF)
  5. Dr. Carl Grote, Jr, a well-known doctor and philanthropist in Huntsville, has passed away. Dr. Grote suffered from Parkinson's disease and will be missed by the community. (WAFF)
