Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. The construction bid for the new Madison County fire station was unanimously approved by the city council at last night’s meeting. The new two-bay station will be on Burgreen Road in Madison and will help alleviate some of the stress that the area’s growth has caused. (WHNT)
  2. Two North Alabama school districts have had to go virtual. Decatur City Schools and Cullman County Schools have had staffing shortages, not only due to losses during the pandemic, but quarantined and isolated teachers. (WZDX)
  3. Supply chain issues in Madison County are causing shortages of baby formula. It seems to be affecting brands like Enfamil and Similac most, but some places are being completely wiped of all formulas. (WAAY)
  4. Huntsville High School’s JROTC has become one of the first programs to join the U.S. Space Force. They have changed their affiliation from Air Force as one of ten programs chosen to convert. (WHNT)
