Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Huntsville Hospital opened a brand new $150 million surgical tower called the Orthopedic and Spine Tower, but didn’t tell anyone. They will have a celebration but are waiting until things are safer. With elective surgeries suspended, many of the surgeries the tower would normally see aren’t an option right now. (AL.com)
  2. The two African Servals that have been loose for over 10 days have been FOUND are back home! The store they escaped from did not prove any details, but both are back and secured. (WAAY)
  3. 'March on Madison' is back September 28! The early bird price is $5 if you buy before the event. The Madison City Schools Stadium will have five high school bands and one middle school color guard perform in the event sponsored by the Bob Jones Band Boosters. (themadisonrecord.com)
  4. The Standard Social Market in Downtown Huntsville will bring a grocer, butcher, and cafe all to the same place. The convenience of a bodega-meets-cafe situation will make downtown life so much more fun! They are tentatively opening October 8! (AL.com)
  5. HudsonAlpha received around $300,000 from the National Science Foundation. The money will be going to their Characterizing our DNA Exceptions project. (Birmingham Business Journal)
