Huntsville Parks & Recreation: Huntsville Parks & Recreation Offering Student Day Camps During Thanksgiving Break

After hosting a successful Fall Break Day Camp in October, Huntsville Parks & Recreation is now registering children for its Thanksgiving Break Day Camp online and in-person.

The camp, which will take place Nov. 22-24, costs $30 per camper and $15 for each additional camper. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided each day; however, parents/guardians must provide lunch. Activities will vary per recreation center and include physical activity, outdoor play, arts and games.

Huntsville Parks & Recreation offers day camps at nine City of Huntsville recreation centers during four weeklong breaks on the 2021-2022 HCS calendar. Upcoming camps will provide affordable, inclusive and fun programming for K-6 students from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following dates:

“We value the assistance we can provide families that have parents and guardians who work when children are normally in school,” said Parks & Recreation Director Bernita Reese. “We are proud to provide students with a variety of programming in a safe and supportive environment.”
