- On Tuesday, Huntsville police arrested 26-year-old Jevon Tarik Wynter for running from police and a vehicle wreck at the intersection of Sparkman Drive and Jordan Lane. Wynter was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury, attempting to elude a police officer, reckless endangerment, and resisting arrest. (WHNT)
- The new federal courthouse, which is currently under construction on a downtown Huntsville hill, is being built to last. Brasfield & Gorrie construction manager Aaron Rader said, "We're building this for 100 years of growth in Huntsville." According to designs, the $79.8 million courthouse will be "modern inside, classic outside, and secure but open to the public." (AL.com)
