Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Officials with Huntsville Transit want to hear from you once again during four public meetings on Nov. 15-16. At the public meetings in September, citizens expressed interest in things like Sunday service and later, expanded and more frequent routes. (AL.com- Full article is subscription only)
- The new fitness park at John Hunt Park is now open! The fitness park is free to use, and you don’t need any equipment or specific fitness level to get a good workout. The city currently has plans to open three more of these fitness parks. (WZDX)
- Thanks to the City of Huntsville's Green Team, all of those yard signs (mostly from political campaigns) can have a whole new life! The signs themselves are being turned into a different material altogether and the metal stakes are going to help support the Wreaths Across America Program. You can take your signage to the Green Team office on Leeman Ferry Road SW. (WZDX)
- James Clemens and Bob Jones high schools have both qualified and will be participating in the Walter Trumbauer High School Theatre Festival Dec. 2-3 at Troy. They will be representing the district with one-act plays and individual events. (themadisonrecord.com)
