- The bridge on Old Highway 431 has reopened! The bridge is part of a project that has taken nearly three years and $15 million. The road will still be under construction and will be closed again at some point for around four hours for permanent striping to be added. (WAFF)
- The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, alongside gener8tor, has launched the HudsonAlpha AgTech Investment Accelerator’s first class. This program invests $100,000 in five different startups in agriculture technology. It lasts 12 weeks and is aimed at helping boost the state’s produce. (Yellowhammer News)
- Tammie Clark has been named the Alabama Art Educator of the Year by the Alabama Art Education Association. Clark is the art teacher at Oak Park and Frances Nungester Elementary Schools in Decatur. (Decatur City Schools)
