Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Did you know about the Rocket City Kids Pass? The Huntsville/Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched a program to offer discounts to kids, both local and visiting! This is free and offers 20% discounts to seven local attractions. If you’re trying to make plans to visit the Rocket City, or you want to have fun with your family without leaving town, this is a great option! (WZDX)
  2. A new invasive species is making its way across Alabama, including the Tennessee Valley! Hammerhead worms are showing up on lawns across the state, but if you see them do not touch them, because they release a toxin that can irritate your skin. Make sure to keep an eye on pets and kids that spend time in the yard. (WHNT)
  3. Kids to Love is receiving some love from Jack’s Family Restaurants! Jack’s has a campaign going on right now through September 28 at every location to raise money to help Kids to Love find families for the children in their care. (themadisonrecord.com)
  4. The Trash Pandas’ match against the Blue Wahoos was postponed last night. This is to allow for more time for testing and contact tracing within the Trash Pandas organization. Tickets can be exchanged for one of equal or lesser value for the rest of the season, or in April or May of next season, excluding Opening Day. (WHNT)
  5. There are almost 40 North Alabama football games tonight! Check out the list WAAY 31 has put together so you don't miss out on the action. (WAAY)
