Here are the top 3 stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Construction on Journey Middle School is currently delayed due to supply and COVID labor shortages. It is possible this delay will run into the school year, meaning students would start school at a different location and move once the build is finished. Dr. Nichols, the superintendent, is set to meet with the construction company later in the week for more information. (WHNT)
  2. A Hampton Cove Elementary School student is our state’s first winner of the national Reflections Program theme competition. Alice Meko, a fourth grader at Hampton Cove, chose the theme “I Am Hopeful Because…” (Sr Butler High School)
  3. Breeze Airways has announced a giveaway to see the Nashville Predators! The last date to enter is February 8, and includes flight and hotel vouchers. (WAAY)
