Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:
- An FBI investigation and search this week led to a Madison man allegedly admitting to running a child pornography website. He is now facing federal charges for “conspiring to advertise child pornography and working with others as part of a child sexual exploitation enterprise.” (WAAY TV)
- Brooke Mooney, a Huntsville bartender, was recently honored by Jack Daniel’s. Mooney was one of six bartenders chosen to be featured in their 2022 program. This is an initiative to bring attention to Black and Latinx bartenders. (AL.com)
- Mayor Paul Finley took the opportunity at the Celebrate Madison event Friday to talk about several upcoming projects planned for Madison. There are several purchases, including two different properties that will add to the city’s green space, an overflow parking lot for Toyota field, and a building on the Hexagon campus that will be used as a new fire station and police substation.
