Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- County Line Road in Madison will be closed today from 5:20- 6:45 p.m. for James Clemens High School’s homecoming parade. The road will be closed from Gillespie/ Huntsville Brownsferry to Mill/Arbor Trace. (Madison Police Department)
- The Huntsville Hospital Fever and Flu Clinic now has appointments open to receive the new Pfizer COVID-19 bivalent booster. Appointments will start Monday and the booster is available for ages 12+. (WHNT News 19)
- Municipal runoff elections are Tuesday. Up for the vote will be Huntsville City Board of Education District 3 and District 2 Huntsville City Council. Polls will be open 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and you can pick up absentee ballots through the end of business today. (WHNT News 19)
- The Madison County School District is making plans for two new schools. One would be in Toney, and the other would be in Hazel Green. At a minimum, the schools could see students as early as 2026 or 2027. (WAFF)
