Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:
- Councilman Bill Kling is the latest to demand that the City of Huntsville release the dollar amount being spent defending Ben Darby’s civil case to the taxpayers the money is coming from. City officials have stated they expect to release that at the conclusion of the case, which according to them, is what normally happens. Councilman Kling also clarified that he does not expect a breakdown to be released, which could allow the other side to see their plans, but just wants the overall number to be made public. (WAAY)
- Anthem House, a mixed-use development, is the latest plan for MidCity! This $110 million project will add apartments, office space, and retail. It is expected to be completed by early 2025. (AL.com)
- Madison City Schools has teamed up with the Madison City Council of PTAs for a mental health resource fair! The event will be on September 19 and will be open to all school families. (themadisonrecord.com)
- Teledyne Brown Engineering has been awarded a new International Space Station contract. The new contract will combine the current support contract they’ve been working on for the ISS for over 20 years with maintenance support for all phases of operations of the ISS. (WHNT News 19)
