Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. A lawsuit was filed against the City of Huntsville and a real estate developer over a proposed subdivision. The subdivision would be in Monte Sano, and according to the lawsuit, would violate zoning and traffic ordinances as well as city zoning. (AL.com)
  2. Lee High School has been chosen as one of 15 E-Sports teams to win the Learn and Build STEAM (LABS) Program National Competition. They were selected to receive everything they need to create a scholastic E-Sports club, which includes thousands of dollars in new computers the students will learn to build along with equipment, and the entire school will receive an unlimited game pass for fall and spring to allow as many students to give E-Sports a try as they can. (Huntsville City Schools)
  3. The CEO Soak to benefit the ALS Association is Tuesday, August 30 at Brahan Springs Park! There will be several CEOs from around the community sitting in a dunk tank to raise the money and it will be open to the public. (WHNT News 19)
  4. Today, the Madison County GOP is hosting a grand opening for their new headquarters for this year’s election. It will be located on the first floor at Parkway Place. GOP candidates will have merch at the location, which will be staffed by volunteers. (The Quad-Cities Daily)
