Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. NASA and Boeing have finalized a contract for $3.2 billion. This contract will allow Boeing to produce Space Launch Systems (SLS) for future missions. According to AL.com, "The agreement also calls for Boeing to produce SLS core stages for Artemis III and IV, acquire critical and long-lead material for the core stages for Artemis V and VI, provide the exploration upper stages, or EUS, for Artemis V and VI and tooling and related support and engineering services." (AL.com)
  2. RANA has released an update that several neighborhoods on County Line were missed in the sprint last weekend and additional crews will be sent for collection and I have heard from individuals in New Market that didn't have their collected as well. If your recycling still hasn't been collected, they're trying to catch them so make sure you reach out through emailing support@recycling-alliance.com or by phone at 256-801-2278. These delays could last through the end of the year, so keep that in mind. (WAAY)
  3. Gov. Kay Ivey announced over $1.6 million in grant funds that were disbursed to eight agencies in North Alabama. The National Child Advocacy Center in Huntsville alone received over $500,000 to support their efforts to provide services to counties throughout the region. (WAFF)
