  1. 3rd Base Grill in Huntsville is closing down for good on October 13 due to constant staffing shortages. They are unsure of the closing time that day, as it will be dependent on staffing and product availability. (WZDX)
  2. Today, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VWF) Post 2702 in Huntsville will be hosting a Shootout Hunger event at the Bullet and Barrel Indoor Shooting Range. Any funds collected at the event will go to the North Alabama Food Bank. Whether or not you plan to participate, you can also bring canned food donations! (WAAY)
  3. The Mark Russell Recreation Center in Owens Cross Roads is the new home to a set of library holds lockers. Library card holders with the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library System can choose what they need online and then choose the lockers as their pickup spot. If all goes well, we could see more locker locations around the area soon! (WAAY)
  4. The Huntsville Environmental Sustainability Committee is looking for public input on long-term environmental sustainability in the area. There will be a public meeting on October 11 and a survey will be launched after the meeting to gather more input. (Patch Press Release Desk)
