Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- The new Limestone County Sheriff is Josh McLaughlin! He has spent about 12 years with the department, with the last eight as the chief investigator for the District Attorney. (WAFF)
- Huntsville has received $6 million for a new rental assistance program called E-RAP. If you meet the qualifications, you can apply starting March 15. (WZDX)
- Make sure to look at your route before you head out for work this morning! At least two roads in Hampton Cove are closed due to flooding, but that does not mean that’ll be the only roads closed by the time you leave today. (WAAY)
- UAH will host the 14th Annual Wernher Von Braun Memorial Symposium October 12-14. The symposium’s theme this year is “United: A Foundation Delivered, a Future Enabled” (Patch)
- Stovehouse is getting ready to add two new event spaces to the campus, called The Belle and The Royal. Most nights, they will be booked for private events, but The Belle’s sign will transform into the Electric Belle some nights, which will mean it is open to public events with a bar and live music.
