Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:
- Girls Inc. celebrated their 50th anniversary this week in what Mayor Battle has declared the “Year of the Girl.” They kicked off their “Fuel Her Fire” campaign, which aims to bridge the gaps in learning loss and fill the needs of girls today. (WAFF)
- A new mixed-use development called Arcadia is headed to Research Park. It will take the place of an old Catholic high school that is currently being demolished, and will offer space for offices, retail, apartments, and restaurants. The current goal is for Arcadia to be completed by 2024. (WAAY)
- If you are a customer of RANA, there will continue to be delays out of their control, both health and mechanical. You should keep your cart on the street for pickup as soon as they are able. (Solid Waste Disposal Authority)
- Investigator Steve Finley of the Madison County Sheriff's Office passed away Friday. He served the office for almost 30 years, with 20 of those years as a criminal investigator.
