Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Beau Brooks brought several professional baseball players to his Huntsville State Farm office for a meet and greet fundraiser. Almost all of the players were originally from North Alabama and helped Brooks raise money for Kids to Love and the Generosity Foundation. (WAAY)
  2. American Legion Post 237 has been collecting donations since Wednesday to send to Kentucky victims. They passed the donations off to their team in Fultondale Saturday to have them taken to help those in need. (WAAY)
  3. The new park located near Research Park and MidCity finally has a name! Apollo Park will house the Orion Amphitheater and the name celebrates the area’s contributions to space exploration. (WAFF)
  4. The Huntsville Fire and Rescue Hazardous Materials Team spent Saturday getting a truck out of a creek on Dug Hill Road. They also took measures to get the fuel that leaked out into the creek so it did not contaminate the area. (WAFF)
