Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

1. A four-year-old child was shot and killed Saturday on Seminole Drive. Not much information has been released at this time about what happened or anyone involved. (WAFF)
2. The Huntsville Planning Commission approved a 64-lot layout on Monte Sano. A couple of nearby residents asked for the decision to be postponed to look at other access points, but the vote went through. (AL.com)
3. The three Madison County Circuit Judge finalists are set to interview with Governor Ivey on July 13. Nine applicants applied to fill this judgeship transferred from Jefferson County. (WHNT)
4. July is Parks and Recreation Month, and Huntsville has big plans to celebrate! There are a ton of free events and activities to celebrate, so make sure to take advantage! (Patch)
