Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. Huntsville will be the home to a brand-new music series, "Originally Huntsville!" The first event will be at the Electric Belle at Stovehouse on Jan. 12 from 6-10 p.m. (WAFF)
  2. The Huntsville Police Department was called to investigate a robbery at the South Memorial Parkway Regions Bank yesterday. Police are looking for two suspects, but no information regarding them has been released at this time. (WHNT News 19)
  3. A contracted security worker at Grissom High School has been arrested after allegedly selling fentanyl at a basketball game. He purportedly also had a gun in his possession on school grounds at the time of the arrest. (AL.com)
  4. Starting in February, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will be accepting bids on the Memorial Parkway overpass project. The project is expected to cost $35-40 million. The agreement between the Huntsville City Council and ALDOT will be voted on at tonight's council meeting. (AL.com)
