- The Madison City Council approved an $11 million bid to renovate the old Three Springs Juvenile Detention Center. The facility, consisting of two buildings over around 30 acres, will be turned into a new multi-use community center. (themadisonrecord.com)
- Sunday, the Space & Rocket Center and the Rocket City Trash Pandas will be hosting an Orion Splashdown Watch Party from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Toyota Field. The Orion is set to splashdown in the Pacific Ocean around 11:40 a.m. after a journey of around 1.3 million miles. (WAAY)
- The former Limestone County teacher that allegedly engaged in sexual activities with a student under the age of 19, and then married her, filed to be released from the terms of his bond. - The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile is headed to North Alabama! The fun photo op will be around Morgan County Friday and Huntsville Sunday. (WHNT News 19)
