1. The Madison City Council approved an $11 million bid to renovate the old Three Springs Juvenile Detention Center. The facility, consisting of two buildings over around 30 acres, will be turned into a new multi-use community center. (themadisonrecord.com)
2. Sunday, the Space & Rocket Center and the Rocket City Trash Pandas will be hosting an Orion Splashdown Watch Party from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Toyota Field. The Orion is set to splashdown in the Pacific Ocean around 11:40 a.m. after a journey of around 1.3 million miles. (WAAY)
3. The former Limestone County teacher that allegedly engaged in sexual activities with a student under the age of 19, and then married her, filed to be released from the terms of his bond. 4. The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile is headed to North Alabama! The fun photo op will be around Morgan County Friday and Huntsville Sunday. (WHNT News 19)
