Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. The City of Huntsville has started the process of participating in the state’s new medical cannabis program. An ordinance that would authorize medical cannabis dispensing sites to operate in Huntsville by zoning is set to be introduced to the city council at tomorrow’s meeting. If it is approved in two weeks, a zoning plan will then be finalized and any changes necessary will be made. (WAFF)
  2. OSHA is now investigating the two fires that occurred at the Huntsville Amazon Fulfillment Center. No comment has been made on the investigation yet, but I’ll keep you updated as more comes in. (AL.com)
  3. Microwave Dave Day 2022 is this Sunday! There are incredible musicians in the lineup on all three stages, but the event is free to the public. Make sure to donate if you are able so you can support music education. (Microwave Dave Day)
  4. UAH has announced the launch of a new 'Inclusive Excellence Certificate Program' through the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The new program will be online and at no cost to the UAH community, and if it is finished within the 10 month timeline, they will earn a certificate. (WZDX)
