Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Parkway Place Mall has opened five new stores! Kloset Vanity, Malone + Walker, M-Porium Snacks and Gifts, Royalty Funnel Cakes, and Spirit Halloween have all recently opened at the mall. A sixth, Street Services Janitorial, is set to open this month on the 15. (WHNT)
- Huntsville International and Glenn Hearn will be seeing new pavement over the next two months. Some of the parking areas at the airport will be closed while they are being worked on, so make sure to get there early if you plan to park a vehicle. (themadisonrecord.com)
- The Huntsville-Madison Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has revealed their new website! You’ll be able to find out a wide array of information and resources in one place at madisoncountyalema.gov. (City of Huntsville)
- The Downtown Huntsville Library will be closed for the next 7-10 days. A power surge caused electrical panel failure and it will take several days to repair the damage. Pickup for books you had on hold at this location has been moved to the North Huntsville location. (WHNT)
- There are five new members of the Bob Jones Hall of Fame now! These five will join other alumni and integral parts of the Bob Jones family that did not attend the school. They will also be Grand Marshals at the homecoming parade this year! (themadisonrecord.com)
