Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- A Huntsville postal employee has been indicted on a federal charge for allegedly destroying and/or withholding mail. The alleged crime occurred over six months in 2018. (WAAY)
- The Alabama Housing Finance Association (AHFA) and the City of Huntsville are working together to offer $4.5 million in emergency rental assistance. The money was originally allocated for assistance in rural areas in the state, but they have worked to transfer the use to urban areas, which usually have more renters. (WHNT News 19)
- The City of Huntsville has approved a contract for the construction of facilities at the future Hays Farm Sports Park. It will include two multi-use turf fields, a restroom pavilion, 120 parking spots, fencing, irrigation and landscaping. You can expect to see the park open next spring! (City or Huntsville)
