- Starting Sunday night, there will be road work on I-565. Most of the work will take place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday-Thursday, but there could be detours along the way. The work will start just east of Intergraph Way and end just east of Triana Boulevard and is expected to be completed late summer or early fall. (WAAY)
- Don’t miss Offbeat Coffee Studio’s third birthday celebration this weekend! There will be events all weekend to celebrate three years of Offbeat! (WAFF)
- Atlanta Bread in Huntsville will be closing after 20 years. A Facebook post announced that as of Friday, they will no longer be open. This is the only location in the state, and they are seeking new owners. (WAAY)
- Kids to Love received a $100,000 donation for upgrades to the Davidson Farms Cottage Community. The donation came from Iron Mountain Solutions in Huntsville and will help the organization continue to help young women transition out of foster care. (themadisonrecord.com)
- Drake State Community College is set to offer month-long drone classes. These classes will teach you how to fly a drone and prepare you for the FAA’s commercial drone pilot’s license. (WAAY)
