Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. VFW 2702 in Huntsville has experienced some storm damage that they were struggling to find the money to fix, but C and K Roofing and Construction donated the time and materials to make it happen. C and K is a veteran-owned company that was glad to lend a hand to help out brothers and sisters. If you’d like to donate to help cover the costs, reach out to VFW 2702! (WHNT)
  2. Thousands of people came out to yesterday’s Veterans Day Parade in Huntsville! It ended up being one of the largest events in the Valley for the occasion. (WZDX)
  3. This week is National Shelter Appreciation Week, and HAS wants to make sure you don’t miss the chance to support your local animal shelters. Keep checking with them for adoption fee specials, which covers vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, a free bag of the food that pet is used to, and a free city license! (Patch)
  4. If you struggled with extra morning rush hour traffic yesterday, the issue has been resolved and won’t cause any problems today! A dump truck hit the sign for exits 14 and 15 on 565, which caused hours of backed up traffic. The signs probably won’t be able to be replaced soon. (WHNT)
  5. A new ambulance substation is coming to Limestone! This means response times will be cut down and more people can get help. The substation will be located near Blackburn and 72. (Spot On Alabama)
