  1. The new ramp from northbound Research Park Blvd to MidCity is officially open! Along with the ramp to MidCity, two other entry points will be added along Wynn Drive, and part of the Bradford Drive interchange had to be moved. (WHNT)
  2. A new historic marker was unveiled at 603 Randolph Avenue to honor the efforts of Dr. Frances Roberts. Roberts was an educator that was the first full-time faculty member of the University of Alabama’s Extension Center, and then of UAH after the transformation. She also dove into preserving the history of Huntsville and her efforts are still being continued by others. (Huntsville)
  3. Two Men and a Truck’s Movers for Moms campaign has ended. Over 16,000 items were collected, and they will be delivering the donations to Downtown Rescue Mission’s Owen’s House today. (WHNT)
  4. The Huntsville metro reached 500,000 residents. This makes it the second fastest-growing metropolitan area in the state last year to the Daphne-Foley-Fairhope area. (AL.com)
  5. The Southern Fried Film Festival will be back for the fourth year in Huntsville! It will be held at the Orion starting June 9. (WHNT)
