  1. The Space and Rocket Center is getting ready to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 16 lunar mission on Wednesday. Charlie Duke, a member of the Apollo 16 crew, will be in attendance, along with NASA officials. (Miami Herald)
  2. Athens State University has announced plans for a new workforce innovation center. This new building would replace Carter Gymnasium and would have space for an event center, a multipurpose space, classrooms and training labs. The university would need state funding to start the project. (WHNT)
  3. Huntsville City Council has approved a contractor for Kids’ Space. The agreement is for $6.8 million and would include things like new playground equipment and restroom renovations. (Patch)
