  1. The Huntsville-Madison Athletic Hall of Fame has 12 new inductees for the Class of 2022. Nine different sports are represented this year. The Special Achievement Award was unanimously given to the 1990 Butler High School girls’ basketball team. (WAAY)
  2. HPCAC will be hosting a public forum tonight. The discussion will be around “crime statistics and data-informed policing.” (WHNT)
  3. The Co-CEO of Brown Precision, Greg Brown, was named Alabama’s Small Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Association (SBA). Every year, the SBA recognizes one person from each state, and the official ceremony will be held virtually on May 5. (Patch)
  4. Athens City Councilman Frank Travis has passed away after a battle with cancer. Travis has represented District 3 since 2016. (AL.com)
  5. The Sparkman High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble is getting ready to head to compete in the Winter Guard International World Championship. In 2019, the group won the gold in their division, and this year they will be competing in the World Class Division as one of 17 groups of that caliber. (WHNT)
