Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Sparkman High School took the title at the Huntsville City Classic basketball tournament for the second year in a row! They competed against Baker in the finals and won with a score of 64-52. Bob Jones High School took third place in a game against Huntsville High School, with a final score of 51-46. (Huntsville City Classic via Twitter)
- Yesterday, the inbound traffic lane at Gate 9 was temporarily closed at Redstone Arsenal. An individual attempted to get in without stopping, as is required. Gate guards were then required to follow procedures, which included temporarily halting incoming traffic at that gate. (WAFF)
- Duncan Farms in Gurley will be permanently closing in 2023. According to the announcement, they will soon be liquidating all of their meat and product inventory, which will give you a chance to stock up on favorites. A direct reason for the closure was not given, but the Duncans encouraged individuals to support local, clean farms and take care of your farmers. (WAFF)
