Here are the top 4 stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Students returned to Sonnie Hereford Elementary yesterday after a fourth-grader accidentally shot himself last week. Not much is being released because of a minor’s involvement, but we know the child is out of the hospital. (WHNT)
  2. Main Event is raising money for Still Serving Veterans this week. The new business has donated $2500 and said any strikes bowled on lane 11 by March 4 will be an additional $10, with the hopes of raising $10,000 for Still Serving Veterans. (themadisonrecord.com)
  3. Huntsville City Schools has gone masks recommended after updated guidelines from the CDC were released Friday. The ADPH has not released state-wide guidelines, but the district made the decision based on a downtrend in cases within the school system. (AL.com)
  4. The Hazel Green Animal Hospital & Pet Resort will officially be closing March 19. As of right now, no reason has been given. If your pets are or have been patients there, make sure to call or email the office to get your pet’s records. (WHNT)
