  1. The City of Huntsville is applying again to hopefully receive federal grant funds to build the proposed skybridge. The bridge would connect Lowe Mill and downtown Huntsville for pedestrians safely. The grant they applied for would cover $25 million if they get it, which is 40% of the total cost, with the rest coming from tax dollars. (WAFF)
  2. Huntsville Parks and Rec is hosting summer camps! There are several at different locations, the cost will be $50 per week and the deadline to register is May 23. They will also have several week-long specialty half-day camps. (Patch)
  3. The widow of 55-year-old Bobby Green, the man killed in the trench collapse last September, is suing the City of Huntsville along with several contractors. The wrongful death suit lists the reason as lost wages from her husband. (WAFF)
  4. The UAH Space Hardware Club is working with the Amateur Radio on the International Space Station program (ARISS) to allow eight local sixth and eighth graders to hear from astronauts on the ISS on April 7. This group is one of only nine selected to have contact this spring. Students submitted questions to ask the astronauts and ARISS members voted to select the best questions for the opportunity. This contact will be publicly streamed. (Patch)
  5. 11 UAH team members, along with groups from other universities, are headed down to Montgomery to track storms today and tomorrow. They are expected to join other groups that will bring the total to 75 people in the field. (themadisonrecord.com)
