- Panoply is almost here! This will be a scaled-down version called “A Taste of Panoply,” which will be at Big Spring starting with Friday’s preview and you’ll be required to wear a mask. The event will have one stage instead of three, no hands-on activities, and the Panoply letters will be painted by art students before the event. (ArtsHuntsville)
- On Sunday, musicians from around the Valley came together in a free event, “Music for Healthcare,” and took donations for the Community Free Clinic of Huntsville, according to reporter Nixon Norman. Artists struggled throughout the pandemic to afford healthcare, and the clinic was able to provide the help they needed so they decided to give back. (WZDX)
- UAH and Oakwood University made the top 15 four-year public or nonprofit private universities in Alabama for the percentage of students that graduate within eight years of entering the school. Reporter Leada Gore said that UAH was eighth with 51% and Oakwood was eleventh with 47%. (AL.com)
- The Huntsville-Madison County Public Library has launched Blast, a platform to discover local music. They are accepting applications starting today and the first round of submissions will end June 30. The library staff and locals will work to create a streaming library of local artists! - The 2021 CCSA Beach Volleyball Championship will be at John Hunt Park this weekend! Fourteen teams will compete in two groups and a champion will be announced from each group Sunday. (CCSA)
