Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:

  1. The Rocket City Trash Pandas saw their second season come to a close last night in a winner-takes-all game against the Tennessee Smokies. The Smokies came out on top with a 4-2 schedule. The Trash Pandas were the first and second half regular season champs and won the most home games in Minor League Baseball, with 49 home wins. Season 3 will start April 6, 2023. (WAFF 48 News)
  2. Last night, West Limestone and East Limestone played their cross-county rivalry game. West Limestone took the win this year with a score of 31-7! (News Courier)
  3. The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering is officially open! Governor Ivey was in attendance to help open the new campus. The school currently has 254 students. (AL.com)
  4. This is the last weekend to play at the City of Huntsville splash pads! They are set to close for the summer on Friday, September 30. (City of Huntsville, Alabama - Government)
