  1. The UAH Department of Athletics 2o23 Hall of Fame list has been announced. Former student-athletes are eligible for induction 10 years after their last season and administrators and coaches have to no longer be employed by the school. Among this year's inductees is legendary basketball coach Lennie Acuff, who coached the Chargers for 22 years before leaving in 2019 to pursue an opportunity coaching in Division 1.   2. Sen. Richard Shelby has nominated nine students in Madison County to attend U.S. service academies, with 43 total nominations across the state. The Madison County students are Benjamin Arn, Jessica Cianfaglione, Alexander Gray, Riley Groves, John Murray, Jack Sanders, Nake Singh, Matthew Snodgrass and Benjamin Theodoss. (WAFF)
  3. Municipal offices within the City of Huntsville will be closed Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas Day.
